Yoga Therapy for Chronic Pain


Who can benefit from Yoga Therapy for Chronic Pain?

This session is for you if you suffer from pain that has lasted for more than three months. It may be localised pain or systemic.

There are different causes for chronic pain; sometimes it is primary or secondary pain and sometimes the cause is simply not known. Additionally, the way that pain is experienced can differ from person to person.

These factors will be taken into account during the sessions and addressed through very simple, gentle movement and breathwork to encourage the entire system to relax and reduce stress. The aim of the practice is to help you find a more positive and peaceful way of being in your body.

As well as movement and breathing, we will work with sounds, visualisation and meditation to calm and focus the mind. Information will be shared to help improve quality of sleep and raise self-awareness of lifestyle and dietary habits which can help manage pain.
