Yoga Therapy for Stress Workshop – Online and Face-to-Face workshop – 17th September 2022 – 10:30am to 1pm

In this workshop, we will explore the concept of stress through physiological as well as yogic lens and will share with you a number yoga tools that you can use in your everyday life for stress management.

We will start the session with breathing inquiry to explore our breathing pattern during fight or flight (stress periods) and relaxation. We will talk about the physiology of stress, discuss what happens when stress becomes chronic and examine how yoga philosophy can help us change our relationship and our response to stress.

We will also explore a number of mindful movements together to see where we hold tension and stress in our bodies and how we can release the tension and change our emotional state through mindful movements.

We will then practice yoga Nidra (yogic sleep) in a calm and peaceful environment.

We will share a home practice with you that you can us at home as an everyday practice or during stressful times in your life.

The workshop duration is 2.5 hours and the face-to-face and online sessions will occur at the same time but independently.

The face-to-face session will be delivered by Cath Watsham.

The online session will be delivered by Stacey Landau.

The online workshop will take place on Zoom.
