I literally ‘fell’ into yoga because I was looking for an outlet to move my body but I have now been practicing for over 20 years and teaching since 2005. Little did I know what an amazing journey lay ahead of me and how yoga would support me through so many life challenges.
Initially, I trained with the British Wheel of Yoga and then went onto practice and study Yoga Therapy since I felt called to use yoga therapeutically. For over 15 years I have been blessed to work with different communities and some of my work has been teaching people with Parkinsons Disease, Cancer Patients, Stroke Survivors, Addictions and Chair Yoga. I have undertaken numerous trainings and love exploring alternative modalities to support myself and others.
In 2017 my own practice changed greatly due to becoming very unwell and being diagnosed with an auto-immune condition. I was in terrible pain, exhausted and struggled to even go for a walk. However, using tools such as breathwork and iRest sustained me throughout this challenging time. They have been major influences in my path of healing and in helping me to manage a chronic condition.
Bringing elements of all these different modalities into my teachings, my focus is self-care, reduction of stress, increasing resilience and the importance of improving our daily life whether this is when working with someone individually or in a group setting.
I am passionate about making yoga practices accessible for everyone and promote long-term physical, mental and emotional well-being.
